I imagine it is because once or twice a year their conscience is peaceful, picking up garbage requires not much intelligence, research and/or long run planting, pruning and monitoring of nature/vegetation. On the other hand, not doing anything the rest of the year and/or looking the other way must be a trip. Sierra Club, los Corredores, los del Tubo are also in that bag.
The photos attached demonstrate what a little vision, effort/energy, correct tools and the need to identify plants to be left alone show the useless, meaningless will of those who enjoy posing, appearing in the media without knowing their ars from their elbows regarding nature, flora/fauna, habitats, environmental issues in our urban context.
